The beauty of the Sundarbans

Deer: The beauty of the Sundarbans is the deer. Deer are a very valuable resource in the Sundarbans. Deer is a herbivorous and mamal named in the Sundarbans. They like to eat grass in the open field. The deer are very beautiful to look at.


Their bodies are reddish-brown in colour. The white spot on the cheeks are visible. They are brown in colour from the knees to the ends of the legs. It has four legs, two ears, and two eyes.They also have a small tail. They have hooves that are very sharp. They can also range from 75 to 100 kg.They are to live mainly eaten by  leaves,bark of trees as well as Bani, Garan, Keora, Sundari trees etc of the Sundarbans. Chitra deer  are seen in the Sundarbans. Deer are mainly hunted by the tigers. Deer can run harder than tigers. Recently deer are almost extinct because smugglers are hunting the deer of the Sundarbans. The red monkey of the Sundarbans helps tremendously to protect the deer from the tiger. The deer turn around in groups. Some deer have horns which causes them to die. Actualy male deer has horns and female deer has not horns.  Because their horns stuck in the leaves when the tiger chasses them. Male deer are larger than female deer. Deer mainly love to eat the fruit of Keora tree. The fruit of this tree is sour. I have heard from before old people that deer meat is very testy to eat. Eating deer meat is sour.


Red Monkey: The red monkey is one of the mammals of the Sundarbans. They are very intelligent . Although they are four-climbed animals, they can also walk like humans. They are to live mainly  eaten by grasshopper, ants and  leaves, roots, barks, fruits of trees etc. Although red monkeys have a sense of judgement, they are very quarrel some animals. They can swim in continue into water. They are very good climbing trees. Their whole body is covered with hair. They helps a lot to save the deer from hand of the Royal Bengal Tiger to gestures. This is why, the deer carries the red monkey on its back.
